I decided to try Silberplatten. I had my inov-8 shoes and an axe instead of poles, which I find more convenient on steeper ground. The initial ascent was easy, with some steeper bits that were secured. The way to the foot of SIlberplatten was simple. SIlberplatten looked imposing close up, but actually getting to the top was slightly easier than getting to Tierwis. The only difficulty was finding the correct path, but in dry weather there is no danger of falling.
Then on the well-trodden path back to Tierwis I sprained my ankle quite badly. I have no idea how I managed to do that, I was simply walking at a leisurely pace. Thankfully Tierwis was only a short walk away and bandaged it, though I still had considerable pain (After a month, I am nearly OK, but I think I need another month to fully recover). So I decided to climb to Santis, as going down was much harder with the sprained ankle.
The last part of the climb to Santis was surprisingly difficult, It was well-secured, of course, but I'd rate it as harder than Silberplatten! The tourists were many
