Nous sommes partis le matin depuis le parking de Bristen (Talstation), avec Gabi, Suzanne, Céline, Diana, Ines.
Hidden in plain sight, Maderanertal is one of the gems of Canton Uri offering miles of hiking, biking, and some immensely picturesque spots to take in the Swiss outdoors. And all this at a very accessible distance from Zurich!
Starting at Bristen (Talstation Golzern, 831m), we will walk along the river and gently rising valley floor to Saas, Tritt.
From here the trail turns higher into alpine territory to the Windgällenhütte (2033m) where a well-earned break is called for.
Continuing onwards, we descend towards the calm waters of the Golzernsee, an ideal ground to rest the muscles and soak in early summer in all its splendor.
The brave may choose to take a dip before a short walk takes us to the Bergstation, Golzern, where a gondola takes us down and saves our legs.
Technical details
Duration: 5.5 hours, excluding longer breaks at the hut and lake.

Difficulty: Easy to moderate - the trail is well-marked but some steep sections are possible.
Conditioning: Medium - distance 15km; 1200m ascent, 650m descent (https://images2.schweizmobil.ch/files/wl_590.pdf)
