We started our hike a bit above Ausserberg in Niwärch and walked straight to the nice Wiwanni Hut in 1.5h. On this route we were barely able to see anything - it was extremely foggy. There is a couple of possible ways to the hut so you most likely end up there anyway. At the hut we were able to see a couple of streaks of sunlight coming through the clouds. Another way to the hut is the Via Ferrate which we did on another occasion and is an expedition for itself.
From there we progressed walking in direction to the ridge between Wiwannihorn and Öugstchummuhorn. On the way there easily overcame 2 steep hills were we lost the hiking trail, but we just walked over the stone blocks. Then suddenly the sight became better and we saw some Steinmannlini leading the way.
We chose the easiest entry point to the ridge which is at it's lowest part (climbing I/II). The climbing was rewarded by a great view to Bietschhorn and many more peaks around the whole of Wallis. The path on the ridge was quite steep in the beginning and we went carefully up (climbing I), but at the end it was not that difficult to find the correct way, usually on the right side of the ridge. Finally the way flattened and we reached the peak plateau. After another 10 minutes we reached the summit and enjoyed one of the best views in Wallis.
Then we did retrace our steps and went straight down in 2.5 hours.
