Started from Wasserauen and took the easy path to Seealpsee, them climbed to Mesmer and to the northen route towards Santis. Snow fields started around 1900m but they were easy to navigate with my trail running shoes and an ice axe (poles would have been adequate too). Later the snow started becoming deeper and progress was slower.
I took a break at the intersection under Rossegg, and looked ahead and at the map. It seemed possible to reach the pass near Girenspitz, but the ascent to the next plateau looked doubtful, as the snow seemed deep, and the climb to the ridge precarious. However, I have no idea what the actual conditions were, and I've never taken that path before so maybe it's actually easy. I enjoyed the silence for a few minutes and then ran back down, starting to meet hikers along the way back.
Rating it as a T3+ due to the snow fields.
