Hörnlihütte (3260m) von Schwarzsee aus

According to the weather forecast, the weather would be fine until 1 PM. It would start raining around 5 PM. Unfortunately for us, that turned out to be a bit too optimistic. We took the cableway to Schwarzsee. I wanted to see how fast I could get to the Hörnlihütte, you know, just for fun. The first part of the path lets you gain altitude quite fast. Once you're near Hirli, the path gets more horizontal. It stays like this until you reach the 'foot' of the Matterhorn, about 300 underneath the hütte. I enjoyed the last part the most, it looks a bit more like an alpine trail, but it is not difficult. It took me 1 hour 25 minutes to get to the hütte, where I took a 45 minute break. I was hoping for the clouds around the summit of the Matterhorn to disappear, but sadly that didn't happen. Maybe next time. While I was descending, I felt some raindrops... When I saw Schwarzsee again, it really started raining. So I hurried a bit more to get to the cableway. The descent took me 55 minutes.
