From London to the Seebergsee

On Friday we had a bigger problem: where could we go with guys who don't have hiking shoes and with nearly every mountain train or cable-car closed in this season? How could we take a sunbath without having to walk a long distance on small mountain paths?
First I proposed a trip to the Creux-du-Van and I thought it would be better to go there with snowshoes (in the hope some snow will fall soon). Then a friend said he went last Summer with his little kids to a beautiful lake somewhere up the Diemtigtal. So I could remember its name; it was the Seebergsee (which means lake-mountain-lake). And I could find a nice trip to it.
It was absolutely beautiful: the lake half frozen, incredible sunshine (warm enough for being in T-shirts), a view to the snow covered mountains and a restaurant with live Swiss music. Really everything for a good beginning in Switzerland.
Thanks to Begoña, Michaela, Halil and Simon for sharing this great day!
