3 day Greina-Trek (day 3/3)

A wonderful sunny day was smiling in our faces: the third and last day from our 3-day Grein-trip can start. Our target for today is: Terri-hut - Camona - Plaun la Greina - Crap la Crusch - Cap. Motterascio SAC - Lago di Luzzone - Campo Blenio. Folks, lets us start.

For the path back to the Plaun la Greina we decided to go directly to the point 2194 Camona. Over a small ridge we hiked to Camona, across a small bridge with a foaming stream on the left hand side. Impressible the sound from the waterfall.

From here to the bridge, Pt. 2230 or Crap la Crusch, Pt. 2268, we walked trough a area like the marsh in the Dartmoore in Devon-UK. After the two points the path directed us up and down (like a light to swell in the sea) to the Motterascio-hut SAC. Also we walked through a stonemen-wonderworld which has been on the path. From the hut we enjoyed the postcard-view down to the valley "Valle di Garzore" and the Lago di Luzzone. After a coffee-break in the hut we started the way down to the lake "Luzzone".

Following the path next to the lake we walked to the dam which is on the end of the dark blue/green see. The dam is gigantic - some technical dates: length of the cap 600m; high of the dam 225m; Water volume 1'330'000 m3. After a walk through a tunnel (833m) thankfully we found on the end of the dam a little restaurant and so we ended the 3-day Greina-trip by a beer, accompanied with alphorn-music.

We closed the tour in the allotment garden with Irene & Sepp by a top gardener menu named "Urner Häfelichabis". Enjoy & Cheers!
