The previous day brought us to the top of Piz Minschun so we allowed our selves to sleep a bit long and drink an extra cup of coffee before we at 10 found our selves ready to depart from Sur En towards the Uina Valley and Gorge.
We had only seen one picture in the guide book from the gorge so we were looking very much forward to get up there.
The first couple of hours is spend walking on gravel road through the wood and plains passing Uina Dadora and Uina Dadaint - the latter was open and you could buy few refreshments there. Up to here the road is T1 and easily walked but is long and 650 meters up.
We continued to after Uina Dadaint and then found a perfect spot in the sun for our lunch.
Thereafter it was time to the very exciting part of the path in the Uina gorge. As can be seen from the pictures it is a wonderfull walk carved into the steep sides of the gorge. It is generally well secured and relative broad so a rating of T2 is fair. If it is too much to climb the 1100 meters the hike could start from the Italian side where a lift can reduce the uphill walk.
After having reached Alp Sursaas we just enjoyed the green plains and spend some time crawling around on the sides and looking at flowers.
The we headed back into the gorge and once again enjoyed the magnificient walk - which we really recommend.
After 7 hours, 1100 meters up, 1100 meters down and 28 km walked we were back at Sur En and drove to Scuol for a nice dinner and a late evening bath in Bogn - well warmed back to the tent and zero degrees :-)
