Hochwacht Albis 878m - sunset after a rainy day

After it stopped raining in the evening we decided to get some fresh air and hike to what I consider one of the most stunning viewpoints in the Canton of Zurich - Albis Hochwacht.

I have been a few times recently - hiking - trailrunning - and the views are always spectacular. The sunset over Uetliberg and Zurich, the view across Sihlwald to Lake Zurich and on a nice day the Alps are incredible.

It can be reached via a short stroll from Tuefenbach near Hausen Am Albis. We also visited again the impressive Schnabelberg ruins - the ruin of a castle once belonging to the Murderer of the Habsburg King Rudolf in 1315. As a revenge the Habsburg attacked and destroyed the castle.
