Leistchamm

The Leistchamm was one of that summits that I wanted to do before leaving for the US; not because the hike is particularly nice and not because it is technically demanding but just because the view from the top is amazing! Since today Green Copper had to be at home early and so we did not have a lot of time, we decided that it was the right moment to perform this tour.
From the bus station in Arvenbüehl we followed the road to the bridge at p.1236. From there we took the path on the left direction Alp Looch. Passed the Alp we continued direction east to p.1663. At this point we started the ascent to the summit which we reached 1h and 40 min after having left the bus station. After having taken a lot of photographs we descended again to p.1663 and from there we continued to the Flügenspitz, before descending to the Alp Looch and go back to the bus station.

The difficulty of the path is T2. The most dangerous part is the summit; be careful to go down from the right side ;-). However the terrain today was very slippery and some people had difficulties to walk on it.

As mentioned at the beginning: the view is just amazing. Unfortunately because of the clouds we could not see all the nice mountains of Glarus.
