Hi there! So, this is just a stroll, an easy walk maybe not deserving to be reported, but still there are points of interest to talk about. First of all this hike offers magnificent all-round views. Then, if you do not wish a crowd extravaganza, you may choose some ascending options providing a more relaxed atmosphere. And, yes, I went to Caval Drossa a couple of months ago (see specific report)! So we started from Corticiasca heading to Alpe Musgatina (without really reaching it) then to the Tassera hut and then to the wide ridge connecting Monte Bar to Caval Drossa. We chose to go up to the summit of Monte Bar, where you can hardly have the luxury of being alone. We descended to Capanna Monte Bar, packed with (noisy) people ran away swiftly, and then went along the paved road back the lowest point of the connecting ridge, where a path leads up to Caval Drossa. Not a popular target, therefore very-very little fellow-hikers. The descent from the summit on the ridge leading to Motto della Croce is (to me) the highlight of this hike. From Motto della Croce we lazily went down the paved road, hitting Alpe Rompiago, and then back to Corticiasca via Cozzo. A simple, hassle-free walk, suitable for the least fit of walkers. What should be said is that, boy, the place is pretty windy, so an extra jumper in your backpack may be of comfort.
