Spent a few days in Davos, mainly targeted to a fully relaxed attitude. Still, we tought giving our snowshoes some excitment. Therefore, a mild hike was organized and we set off from Davos-Dorf to the south-eastern bank of the Davoser See. The path is a true family-promenade all the way. You may get to encounter squirrels and other little furry rodents. We turned left following an indication to Drusatscha and soon got on a cross-country skiing track, followed it (carefully on the very edge !) until a further indication led us off to cross the RhB rails (watch out!). Here we wore our snowshoes and started ascending the large couloir of the Drùssetschabächli leading to Drusatscha, just as it started snowing. The way up is really straight forward. We found truely soft snow (some 60÷70cm), but relatively moderate steepness. We reached sight of the large, beautiful Drusatscha plain right when snowing turned more intense; we stopped by one of the fine houses, where we found a watering point. Our ambition to try going up towards the Seehorn was discouraged by the ongoing snowfall and the possible risk of avalanches. So, after a little while, we went back down, crossing over to the Davoser See round path somewhere by Höhwald. It had stopped snowing, by then. We contoured the Davoser See along the north-western bank, thus completing our walk. Mild, mild walk, yet wonderful.
