A few easy summits around Rothenthurm

Today was a typical bad winter day... Incredibly cold and with compact fog and clouds covering most of the Swiss territory... The only possibility to go out was to perform an easy tour avoiding alpine terrain, so we decided to go in the region of the Sattelpass.
We started our tour in Rothenthurm close to the church, and went out of the village just before p.946, following the path direction Biberstock and p.1206. At this intersection we continued  direction south, passed p.1200 and arrived to p.1252. Here we turned on our right and started the very steep ascent to the Nüsellstock. From the summit we continued following the edge direction south, passed the Höch Tändli, the Chli Tändli and the Näbikenfirst till we reached the Grossbrechenstock. After this last summit the path continued direction west till p.1475 and then back direction north. At Bannegg we turned on our right, passed p.1339, p.1274, 1218, p.1199 and p.1153. Close to this last intersection there was a car road going back to the village.

The only difficulty that could be mentioned on this trail is the steep ascent to the Nüsellstock between p.1252 and the summit. I can imagine that in case of big amounts of fresh snow the short crossing of the north-east face of the mountain could be dangerous. The entire path is WT2.

Unfortunately because of the compact fog we could not enjoy the panorama, which actually should be great!
