Lago di Lei is a lake, or actually a hydro power dam at the border between Switzerland and Italy. On this hike, I crossed the border between Switzerland and Italy several times!

Start of the hike shortly before 9 AM in the village of Innerferrera. I followed the wrw marked trail in the direction of Lago di Lei/Staumauer. Since it is a T2 hike, I did not use my hiking boots, but instead I just used the waterproof sneakers. At elevation 1800-1900 m there were a couple of small snowfields, but it was fine to get past them.

After crossing the hydro power dam, I continued hiking up to Furgga/Passo del Scengio. There were some remaining snowfields, but they never blocked the road completely.

Going back to Innerferrera, I followed the same route.

The weather was picture perfect! It was a really nice "reconnaissance" tour to an area which I had never been to before.
