When a guy from France read to many times "Asterix in Switzerland" ("Astérix chez les Helvètes" for the original French title) and had heard that silver stars are growing in the Alps, it was necessary for him to see these by himself. And then you add a guy from Iowa and living in California who wants to try out at nearly sixty a ferrata, you've only a few choices. That's why I returned to the Chäligang after having been there at the end of June.
To let everybody take its pictures and the necessary time to master the climbing difficulties, it took us nearly 4 hours from the start to the top. I hadn't to use the rope I carried with.
At the top, we met the rest of the tribe and found a nice little lunch spot near the stream. The kids were more than happy to cross barefoot the very cold water.
Finally we didn't take the gondola the way back, but went on foot down the beautiful but steep T3 (I'm still wondering how the cows get up and down this one). And the kids made the whole trip alone!
It was really a beautiful sunny Sunday! Thanks to Hugues, Jon and their tribe.
