Sentiero Alpino Calanca Teil 3

Hike classification: 4 stars (very nice)

Also this hike was very nice. The tour starts with an ascent to pass buffalora (view on the misox valley), and in addition to p. 2427. From here a steep, exposed descent (some fixed ropes, leiter) follows. Now the route descents to a level around 2000 m and is often in open woods. Nice colours, nice gneiss formations, really beautiful. Although the route is often in woods, it is frequently exposed. Also a new leiter passage follows, and shortly afterwards a short passage where the hands are needed (I). Shortly after alp di Fora a final, in the beginning very steep descent, in a more dense, wonderful wood follows. The total indicated time for this hike was 7h30, we needed 5h15 without breaks, but were walking rather fast. So, I feel that the indication of 7h30 is less exaggerated as the 9h from the day before.
