Belgenbach Valley MTB trail

This ride has a few very difficult stretches, between the way points Alsdorfer Kreuz and Grünental II. Here, the track can be eroded, very narrow and steep. We pushed our bikes across the most difficult spots.
Otherwise the trail is mostly easy. The first part runs from Kalterherberg to Konzen on the RAVeL bicycle trail. We visited the church in Konzen, and the viewpoint 'Eifelblick'. It consists of a contraption on the highest point of Konzen, also called de Hue.
We crossed over towards the village of Eicherscheidt, and descended to the Belgenbacher Mühle. This very steep descent begins as an asphalt road, but care should be taken as it becomes ever more gravelly and slippery.
At the Belgenbacher Mühle, take care not to enter the private gardens of the owner - the trail leads left along the boundary. This part is very narrow.
The narrow trail continues first high above, then down into the Belgenbach valley, and ascends on the other side. On hitting the tarmac road, we crossed it towards Monschau. From Monschau, we took the shortest trail possible back to Kalterherberg. From Dreistegen, it climbs the Zeilt - a single track and steep path, but manageable especially with an e-MTB.
