Skaftafell

Reached the Skaftafell visitor center around 10am. The main parking lot was full, but there was space in an overflow lot. Paid for the parking at the visitor center--all you need is your license plate number, and a credit card.

Found the trailhead next to the campground, and followed the S5 trail to the Sjónarnípa viewpoint (impressive). Continued to the Swartifoss waterfall (pretty, but smaller than expected) via the S6 trail, and followed an extra-wide trail back to the visitor center.

The trails were all in excellent condition, and well signed. No crowds, outside of the section between Swartifoss and the visitor center.
