wie HIKR zum Selbstläufer geworden ist.
Gratuliere Stani und Anna.
Da stecken einige Jahre clevere Arbeit dahinter.
Und auch Management (Spam-Aktion, z.B.)
Viel Glück in die nächste Million!
Euer Andreas

Come a long way from the original randonneur.ch of six or seven years ago, hasn't it ? I see the site is now also being quoted regularly as a reference by "Les Alpes", which should extend its audience further. Well done !

Salut Stephen,

1) LOTS of features -- I still haven't tried them all. At the same time, the useability is great, you can post a hike with existing waypoints with a few clicks. I'm a programmer myself so I know how hard this is to achieve. Not to mention the great stability of the site.
2) Upload big images. No need to outsource your images to imageshack or something, or resize them beyond recognition. Images are what makes a post interesting, even if the tour itself doesn't appeal to me.
3) Quality of content. Of course, this is due to the great user community here.
4) Structured content. This is really outstanding. It's not just a forum where you post plain text with images, but you can tag images, view tours by region, difficulty, or tours similar to the one you just did or read.

I think this site has the potential to become one primary resource of information for everyone interested in mountain hiking, so I just conclude by congratulating to the millions of visitors and I'm sure that there will be millions more!

Best wishes, Felix
