In the morning the PhD presentations continue (3 more), and at 12h some of the participants (only 4 out of 18) decide to do some hiking,in spite of the suboptimal conditions. Through an increasingly dense snow cover (30 cm in the elevated regions), we go up to the Hagelstock. It is very cold here and hardly without breaks we hike to Sisikon. The route to Sisikon is quite nice, but was rather slippery today.

Route: Lidernenhütte- Spilauersee- Hagelstock- Spilauhütten- Alplen- Schwandi- Mänzigried- Sisikon

Wetter: Oft Nebel, leicher Schneefall, kalte Bise (oben mässiger Frost), bis 30 cm Schnee (oben), ab 1000 m Schneedecke. Später ganz kurze Aufhellungen.
