Spannorthütte

Decided to check out the Spannorthütte while having lunch at the Stäfeli. The trail was steep (and perhaps not the best place to be on the hot afternoon with a full stomach...) but well marked.

Met just one person on the way up, and the custodian at the hut (who mentioned she might be leaving soon due to the forecast snow).

The hut is just a starting point for people going on climbing tours, but I thought it was a worthwhile destination in itself, and was quite impressed how well the hut was maintained.
