Hiking classification: 3 stars (nice)
The weather was better than expected. In the morning the strong wind, together with sun shine was very pleasant. We ascended slowly towards the "Sewensee", through a rather open, nice landscape. From the Sewensee onwards the ascent was steeper towards the ridge Schnabelspitz- Richhubel. The ridge has a few spots with a slope over 30 degrees and was very good accessible today. In case there is a lot of snow (Wächten) und unsure avalanche conditions, this ridge can become problematic. As it was stormy on the peak of Rickhuble we continued fast and descended along a slope with showed some steep parts up to 35 degrees. As the snow was very hard and frozen here, the conditions were very good now. As this slope might be affected by wind-driven snow deposition, in less favourable avalanche conditions it can become critical as well. From there onwards the way continued to Glaubenberg and Langwis.
Wetter: nachts kurz intensive Regen, später Schneeregen. Am morgen windig (am Gipfel stürmisch) und abwechselnd Sonne und Wolken, einige schwache Schauer in der Nähe, aber trocken. In Langwis nach 14h ein mässige Schneeregenschauer.
Route: Stäldeli- Blattli- Schwand- Unter Seewen- Pt. 1717- Schnabelspitz- Ruckhuble- Glaubenberg- Langwis
