On the Tatranská Magistrála

Another small hike in the Vysoké Tatry. Of course, it was quite short and the weather was not as beautiful as the day before, but the experience was beautiful.

This day, I was on the road with a group from the Tatry rescue team.

The initial plan was to go to the upper station of the Skalnaté cable car. Unfortunately, the wind was very strong, so that we could only run he lower part. The second part was done on foot. As we almost reached Skalata chata, we took a beautiful path running across the slope and overlooking the lower land. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were not optimal... but it must be beautiful.

Then, the path reaches a belvedere under the Lomnický hrb and turns into the Studená Dolina.

A couple of minutes later, one reaches a beautiful hut that is located in the middle of the forest: Zamkovského Chata. Because the national park regulation does not allow to use helicopter (or at least, it is very difficult), the huts in this area are supplied by porterage. But don't worry: almost everything is available.

Going to Hrebienok we passed by the oldest hut: Rainerova chata... a beautiful small hut in the middle of the forest.

We then went back to Smokovec taking the funicular.
