Oros, Serifos

West of Livadi, there is a large mountain plateau. This can be reached over many routes, none of which are clear paths. This describes one of the routes, from the east side, over one of the pinnacles.

Follow the road from Livadi, until you reach a staircase going next to a house. Then follow a faint path, until you reach a small animal pen with a low wire fence. Traversing the fence, you can reach a section with low stone walls that have small gates in between. Go through a few gates until you reach the rocky ridge.

Here, it is best to get on the ridge as quickly as possible, in order to avoid the slog through horns and brambles. The best way to do that is to go left as soon as you exit the last gate, and then walk towards the pointy rock (pictured) and climb over the red wall (pictured): there is an easy route on the right. You can also go a bit further in the gully until you reach the rocky section on your and climb up directly (not pictured). This route passes through some holes in the rock and a small cave.

In all cases, the route can be kept to a T4 level. If you want to maintain a T2-T3 difficulty then the only option is to walk through the thorny vegetation to the low gate at the start of the plateau.

After you reach the first peak, you reach the plateau, covered in low vegetation. You can cross it t to reach Kefalas (510m). However, there is another path leading to Kefalas from the NE. Again, I recommend limiting your time on the mountain based on the weather and the amount of water you are carrying.
