FIRST TO GR SCHEIDEGG

Begun hike at First cableway station and took busy path towards Bachalpsee. Before reaching lake we took mountain path towards Hagelsee. Straight away we travelled on a quite and remote track which was to bring joy to our senses for the next 4 hours. The rugged beauty of this high Alpine hike past pastures, lakes, streams, scree, boulders and even a small glacier to cross leaves one with a vivid memory of Switzerland and the promise to return again to explore. We finished our walk at Grosse Scheidegg where we took a bus to Grindelwald. I attach a few images to whet your appetite.
 
Note;  this is an easy hike for experienced mountaineers/ hill walkers, but one must be able to navigate in the event of cloud closing in. In places the track is hard to follow and in poor visibility would be impossible hence the need to navigate and confidence to do so.
