Experiment

it's a matter of habit. i got used to the navigation with the map on top. i liked it and would not have changed anything.
however, it's probably just a matter of time to get used to the new arrangement.

Actually, I don't like it either.

We did this "experiment" because we noticed that the "In the Nähe" box is rarely used by new visitors, for example people who arrive from google. They typically search for a mountain, arrive on a report, look photos then go away. Sometimes they return few minutes later with a slightly different query, or even the same query. But they don't go explore the site.



Probably they simply don't see the "In the nähe" list. We tried this to see if it would change something. Actually, it does change, but not so much. Now it seems that there is a better way, that we will try.

By the way those people don't use the minimap either, probably they don't understand such things. They need a big link that says: "Hey! there is more! Click me!!!" :))

ich benütze diese Box "In der Nähe" oft um zu sehen, ob es etwas interessantes in der Nähe gibt was ich noch nicht kenne. Sprich: Hat es Gipfel, die für mich interessant wären?!
Ob die Karte unten oder oben ist spielt für mich keine Rolle. Die Karte benütze ich eher wenig oder nie.
Dieses Feature ist sehr wertvoll, ich hoffe, dass es möglichst viele benutzen.

Nous aussi nous pensons que "In der Nähe" c'est très utile et nous essayons de voir comment la mettre plus en valeur. Il y a deux choses qui peuvent être mieux faites: la rendre plus visible et améliorer le contenu.

Nous allons maintenant travailler la dessus. D'abord on va essayer de trouver la place sur la page ou cette liste est mieux visible.

Qu'est ce que tu cherches dans "In der Nähe"? Les autres rapports du même sommet? les rapports des sommets voisins? les rapports de la même activité? en peu de tout ça ensemble?

Je cherche surtout les rapports des sommets voisins pour decouvrir des sommets qui peuvent être interessants pour moi.

Cool. Question suivante: est ce que l'activité/difficulté des rapports est importante? Par exemple, si tu te trouves sur une page d'un skitour, c'est mieux d'avoir "Skitouren in der Nähe", "Tourenberichte in der Nähe" ou les deux?

P o u r m o i s, l'activité/difficulté n'a pas tèllement une priorité, si je trouve un sommet interessant, je commence a étudier ce sommet en détail. Après je cherche le moyen plus agréable pour mois. (Ski ou Schneeschuhe ou Wanderung ou Hochtour ou Klettertour etc.)

Alors, je trouve "Tourenberichte in der Nähe" bien. (Je parle toujours de moiS, mais il y a d'autres hiker's!)
