After our UIMLA General Assembly, I thought it was time to get some fresh air. Since the assembly took place in the hotel where we were staying and that is located right on the foot of Mount Vitosha, it was logical to go into the nature park.

Starting from Dragalevtsi, I took the path that leads to the Nature Park House and to the Dragalevtsi Monastery. The monastery can be visited and it is interesting to have a look a the chapel. The water spring also is very interesting. I was not able to learn what property the water from this spring has. But many people are entering the monastery only to fill bottles with this water.

Above the monastery, where the path comes close to a bend of the road, it is possible to take a path that runs almost at the same height along the hillside. To catch this path, it is important to go down the road a bit.

After a long run,the path arrives at the crossing with another path that climbs from Boiana to the waterfall. There, it is worth going down a small section to reach a lake that holds a nature reserve.

The climb to the Boiana Waterfall is not difficult and is running in a beautiful forest.

After the waterfall, it is worth continuing to climb to the Esperanto hut.

From this place, we took the path that leads to the Kamen Del hut (alas closed because the owner died recently). From this hut a path runs without any altitude loss to the Kikish shelter.

From there, one can go down to the monastery. The beginning of the path is however not easy to spot. One has to look below the hut, near a small waterflow to find it.
