Of the three summits enclosing the Tremorgio lake, Cima di Filo is definitely the  dwarf, but nevertheless it’s a largely easy hike and most rewarding.
There are a couple of options to get up there: from the lake (which can be reached by the cableway from Rodi) or from Dalpe, with a little more effort. Either way you would have to reach Passo di Vanìt. However, we chose to drive to Dalpe and parked beside the church. You will have to reach the Boscobello area and the choice is between a walk on a path initially heading SW, or up through the village of Dalpe towards Cleuro. It has to be said that the Boscobello area may be reached by car saving your legs some 150m ascending and maybe 30 minutes time. Well, we went SW, towards a roaring waterfall, and after a short while we reached a scenic little chapel, where the path hits a road track winding from Boscobello to Piumogna. Here you would have to turn right (indications are provided anyway). Once at Boscobello the track turns up gently through the magnificent wood and reaches Scontra (water available) and Alpe Cadonighino, where you get a good vision of the day’s target. Pity the view is disturbed by the high voltage pylons going straight up to Passo di Vanìt. From here onwards the path gets a little steeper and leads to a white rocky area through which, after a number of sharp turns, you reach Passo di Vanìt. You may already be happy of the view you get, offering Poncione di Tremorgio, Pizzo Meda and the stunning Piz Prevat. Now comes the best of the day: you turn (right) around the pylon placed on Passo di Vanìt, then you cross a slippery white rubble area (a little uneasy when descending) and finally get on the ridge. It’s quite a narrow thing and exposed too, but still comfortable; just some extra care and your eyes on the track, that will do the trick. The grassy summit (no cairn or cross whatsoever) is reached in maybe only 10 minutes from Passo di Vanìt; there’s not much room, but enough to allow for some rest and for filling your heart with a vision of utmost magnificence: all the peaks of the range running from the Gotthard to Pizzo di Claro are in front of you; behind them you may see Piz Blas, Piz Rondadura, Scopi, Pizzo Cassinello, Vogelberg, Adula, Torent Alto; Pizzo Campo Tencia is partially hidden by Pizzo delle Loite, but Pizzo Penca, Poncione del Laghetto and Pizzo Forno are well in sight. After a deserved meal, Mad, Toto and myself went down the same route, with the only exception of the very last bit where, from Boscobello, we reached Cleuro and then Dalpe. Took us quite a long time to reach the summit (we made a good number of halts); scarce three hours from the summit back to Dalpe.
A beautiful and very easy hike. I consider it “T2” only because of the exposed section on the ridge going to the summit.
