Little detour with Alban to a climbing peak close to Montevers, had to turn around, too exposed

Snowy hike up the Signal - what a view - started at around 5:50am, reached montenvers at 7:40 before the tourists. Hiked towards Mer de glace, bailed at the ladders. Back to Montevers, up the Signal. A lot of hard snow, even used crampons. Alone at the top, wonderful view.

1:20h up; weird, tough way down towards Le Tour; hitchhiking and hiking back to the parking lot

Started spontaneously from Chamonix (Montenvers car park) around 11:00 am Nice path through forest then rocks, only a bit of snow. 2h30/3 hours to the top, from where you can see Mer de Glace. Hiked 15min down towards Mer de Glace then sneaked in the cable car up. A variante allows you to do a loop, goes to the signal Forbes,...

Started hiking at 6:30am, steep path all the way up and snow. The whole hike is then in the snow with long snowfields crossing, then on the plateau quite flat but 1,5 meters snow. Weather : cloudy, but clouds moving so sometimes amazing views Ok with only hiking shoes, but very wet at the end Couldn't reach the lac Blanc...

Start 9;30am from St Gervais, car in le champel, free car park, weather was fine, a bit cloudy, no view from the top (little detour, way and back to mont vorassay) Very nice hike with different views, a few passage with snow but with only hiking shoes fine Good landscape, no one (on a Sunday) Ibex near the miage village
