Reached the Skaftafell visitor center around 10am. The main parking lot was full, but there was space in an overflow lot. Paid for the parking at the visitor center--all you need is your license plate number, and a credit card. Found the trailhead next to the campground, and followed the S5 trail to the Sjónarnípa viewpoint...
