The highest peak in the province of Heredia of Costa Rica. Approximately 14 km both directions. Peak crater hosts small lake. Many birds and other creature on the way. Excellent walk.

Highest peak in Alajuela province of Costa Rica. Short walk from the parking. We had excellent views at 8am, but soon tight clouds came. A lot of smoke goes out from the center of the crater. Looks impressive. We also made small detour to the nearby Lake Botos (another crater). Rain-forest full of birds, and other creatures..
