This is an easy hike into the Simiganj River Valley, which we did in mid-November 2014. The first snow had come, and the last donkeys returned to bring in the firewood. Soon the valley would be completely covered in snow.
In summer, the valley provides access to the high mountain ranges north-east of Dushanbe.
We did this hike with a group led by Hike Tajikistan, which is present on Facebook.
Dara is a little over one hour from Dushanbe.
