of missing paraglider pilot

Lukas had set off from Innsbruck/Austria to cross the Alps on foot and paraglider to Chamonix/France. His last contact with us was on 1 June 2023 in the Salwald region (Mund). In Mund, Lukas wanted to spend the night and continue his flight the next day. According to witnesses, he was sighted in the air on Friday 2 June in Sion/Switzerland, since then every trace has been missing. 

Since 06 June Lukas has been officially reported missing and the emergency services alerted.

AT THE MOMENT NO TARGETED SEARCH BY THE EMERGENCY FORCES IS POSSIBLE, as the search area in question is too large. We need your help to gather information about Lukas's whereabouts. Please report your information to the cantonal police on +4127 326 56 56.

If you are travelling in the Wallis area, we would like to ask you to keep a lookout in the area. We assume that his orange paraglider can be seen from hiking trails or from the air.
