After twelve years from my trip in Nepal, nothing is change ....
Beatiful children with sorrowful eyes!
Annapurna Himal and Kali Gandaki Valley is one of the best excursion in Nepal.

Hi Floriano,

unfortunatly (for the tourists - NOT for the locals) there are some changes. The road through the Kali Gandaki valley is finished now, so you can get to Muktinath by a 4WD now. I think, the Kali Gandaki is not so attractive for hiking any more. But fortunatly there are still a lot of natural valleys.

Hi Omega,
yes you are right, we heard that a road was built, when we were in Khumbu last year. That will change a lot. In 2002 we saw people carry their ill mother on a wooden chair for 3 days to a valley hospital. Anyway already then there were too many lodges for my taste - but altogether it was most peaceful there.

So in that sense, I even doubt, that it is fortunate for the locals - even if they'll sure see it differently...

Namaste, Jürgen

Namaste Floriano,
yeah we loved Annapurna - the tour reported here was also 6 years ago already.

With our impressions we hadto go to Nepal again - in 2008. This time to the Khumbu valley and until close to Mt Everest. Please see the pictures here too, if you like.

Best regards, Jürgen
