Hirzer and Hönigspitz are two mountain peaks northeast of Meran. Marked trails go to both peaks, but the trail on the west ridge of Hönigspitz was not indicated on any signposts (or I did not see it). Plattinger (2615 m) & Verdinser Plattenspitze (2680 m) are two peaks east of Meran. The area has numerous hiking trails, and is easily accessible with the aerial cable car Meran 2000. The two peaks in my hike are not visited that often though. There is no marked trail going up to Plattinger, and the trail to Verdinser...

My wife and I took the aerial cable car up to Oberkirn, and hiked to Taser, where we took another aerial cable car down again. On the way we had lunch break at Assenhütte with a nice view, even though it was partially cloudy.
