This tour was combined with a short avalanche course, so the ascent took a bit longer than normal.
The weather was great, even if the temperatures were very low. The snow conditions were near perfect, with a moderate amount of fresh snowfall on top of a solid layer of packed snow.
The climb was rather easy, as we partially moved on the path and partially on the mellow ridgeline. Overall the views were amazing, and I recommend the ascent as a snowshoe tour as well.
For the descent we went almost directly to the restaurant Buura Beizli. It was my second WS+ tour, and I was a bit afraid, as I fared very badly in my previous WS+ tour. However, I only had some minor issues in the beginning with overturning. Later on it seemed rather fine, and I was turning without too much difficulty. I cannot say I was doing perfect bunny hop turns, but it was not a torture.
All in all, thanks to Kurt and the participants for a great day out.
