Älpeltispitz north ridge

The SAC Alpinwandern/Gipfelziele guidebook describes a route over the Älpeltispitz that takes you "from Klosters Dorf to Klosters Platz in seven hours". Arriving by car, we make the hike slightly shorter by parking at the basin at ca. 1440m on the Alpenrösli road. From here, you can reach the Älpetlispitz on a nice circular hike on (sparingly) marked paths. The steep trail from Grosswald onto the Versitzspitz is best taken in ascent, leaving the Tressaura path for the descent.
We include several small variations: the Chessigrat summit, the pretty tarn at Bi den Seewjenen and (most notably) the Älpetlispitz north ridge. The final 100m of ascent along the north ridge involves pleasant scrambling over large blocks, zigzagging a little between the larger rocks to find the easiest route (T4, I).
On the Älpetlispitz, you can find the normal route descending into the west face (briefly T3+) some 20m south of the summit cairn (no markings at this point).
