Three little features

I'm pleased to announce you 3 new features: two for the map and one for the pictures.

The feature for the pictures is related to "Places on the photo" thing. Sometimes we have pics with more than 20 annotations and it becomes difficult to find the particular peak on the pic. An example.

Now, when you move the mouse over the list on the right, the corresponding marker appears on the picture. For example, put the mouse over the "Brisen 2404m." on the right and the marker appears over it on the picture. Try it now.

Two features for the map are hidden in the "Tools" box. Go to the map and open the "Tools" box. Good. Now look, at the end of the list there are two new tools: Link and Export. Click on them. Excellent.

The Link tool produces for you a link to the map as currently shown (same center and zoom level). For example, this is the Matterhorn! You can take this link and put it in your email, report, page, private message, everywhere.

The Export tool produces an embeddable map that you can embed in any HTML page. It's exactly like the Export tool for the report map, but this one is for the full map. It works the same way: customize your map, click on "Generate HTML" button, grab the HTML code and put it in any webpage.  And like the Link tool, the Export tool takes current position and zoom into account.

Es freut mich 3 neue Features ankündigen zu können: zwei für die Landkarte und eines für die Photos.

Das Feature für die Photos bezieht sich auf die "Wegpunkte auf dem Photo" Ding. Manchmal gibt es Photos mit mehr als 20 Photo-Anmerkungen und es wird schwierig einen bestimmten Gipfel auf einem Bild ausfindig zu machen. Ein Beispiel.

Wenn man nun mit der Maus über die Liste der Wegpunkte auf der rechten Seite fährt, wird auf dem Bild der entsprechende Gipfel mit dem roten Ballon angezeigt. Wenn Du zum Beispiel mit der Maus auf den "Brisen 2404m" rechts in der Liste gehst, erscheint er im Bild. Versuchs!

Zwei neue Feature für die Landkarte sind etwas versteckt bei den "Werkzeugen". Öffne die Landkarte und Klick auf "Werkzeuge. Ganz unten an der Liste gibt es zwei neue Features: Exportieren und Link. Klicke sie. Exzellent!

Das Link Werkzeug erzeugt einen Link zur Landkarte wie sie im Moment erscheint (dasselbe Zentrum und den gleichen Zoom Level). Dies zum Beispiel ist das Matterhorn. Du kannst diesen Link nehmen und ihn in eine Email, einen Bericht, eine Seite, eine PM, oder irgendwo einfügen.

Das Export Werkzeug produziert eine Karte die irgendwo auf einer HTML Seite eingebettet werden kann. Es funktioniert wie das Export Werkzeug für die Karte im Bericht, aber dieser Export ist für die Ganze Karte. Es funktioniert genau gleich: passe Deine Karte so an wie Du sie gerne hast und klicke dann den Knopf "HTML erstellen". Kopiere den erzeugten HTML Code und füge ihn irgendwo auf einer Webseite ein. Genau gleich wie das "Link Werkzeug" behält auch das "Exportieren Werkzeug" die momentane Position und den Zoom Level bei.

Nice feature! However it looks to me as if there is a bug in Opera. The red dot appears after hoovering over the link with the mouse. However, it just stays there and when trying to select another peak it won't disappear. Guess that's not how it's meant to be?

Anyway, nice feature :-)

The Picture Tool is great. You can find the peak, you really want to see, faster.
