Hello everybody, let's continue the discussion started in the other thread: do we need a "disclaimer" (or "warning" or "explanation") on the report page and if yes what should it contain.
For the content, there was some propositions in the other thread, we think the core message should be "this is not an advice".
More explicitly: this is not a guide book but subjective report of personal experience, can be false or outdated. It can not match your level of experience, weather conditions or equipment.
Another one we like: Dies ist ein Erfahrungsbericht, keine Tourempfehlung.
It would be better to have something short and easy to understand.
For the placement, to avoid any ambiguity we think it should go on the report page just before the text (the way some people already put it). It should show on all reports and always, so basically it will just be unremovable part of the report page (like hikr logo on top). So if somebody read the report they also read the disclaimer. That's also the reason why it's better to keep it short.
To summarize:
- Do we need a disclaimer like that: yes/no? Why?
- Propose the text if you want (clear and short). Best way is that you add your disclaimer to one of your reports and post a link here, like that /www.hikr.org/tour/post1579.html
