Irgend eine Forelle? Hat bestimmt sehr gemundet...

Bin noch nicht besonders erfahren was die kalifornischen Forellen anbelangt, werde mich aber bestimmt weiterbilden. Soviel ich beurteilen kann, hat es sich hierbei um eine Regenbogenforelle gehandelt und sie hat sehr gut geschmeckt!

Falls in den kalifornischen Bergseen die selben Forellen wie in jenen der Schweizer herumschwimmen kennt sich Riese ja bestens aus.

We also encountered some fishermen just below Round Top and were wondering what the hell they were doing on almost 3000m with a fishing rod. But then the explained to us that if you go camping in the Sierras bringing a fishing rod along is always a good idea to get a free "upgrade" on the dinner :)

Thanks, they tasted delicious. Yes, it does make a lot of sense to bring your fishing gear along on hikes in the Sierra. Stocking of fish in the Sierra lakes dates back to the mid 19th century and thanks to the CA-climate fish do surprisingly well even at an altitude of >3500m!
