Hawkins Peak, yet another project
In Switzerland I would say those clouds look like "Föhn"-clouds, here in California I don't really know (yet). It seems like these type of clouds are somehow connected to strong winds and the closeness of a low-pressure area.
The wind was definitely intense today (according to the forecast up to 50 mph) and not far north there was some precipitation and bad weather.
