Bistinepass, 2417m; from Simplonpass - to Obers Fulmoss - to Giw (Tour 4/4)
Day 4: We found the energy for this tour because we knew a cool beer was waiting for us in Visperterminen.
With empty batteries (tired legs) we started the last uphill hike. First we had to walk about 100m down to start the path up to the Bistinepass. We enjoyed the walk over pasture land. On the top of the Bistinepass we took the path which followed the contour line to the end of the Naztal valley.
The place, named Obers Fulmoos, entertained us for our lunch break. With a wonderful view of the glacier Gamsagletscher and many Mountains - we had earned such a moment. We had all done about 5'500m altitude up and down over the last 4 days! The view to the other side was the wonderful sight over the whole Naztal. On the right side of the valley we could see where we had walked - on the other side of the valley we could see, what distance we still had to do.
The beer in Giw was calling us. So we departed from our nice lunchstop and walked next to the leat which followed us to Giw. Some parts on this path had fixed ropes - no problem for accomplished hikers like us. The last pass called Gibidumpass we passed without noticing. At the chairlift mountain station we had the coolest beer for a long time.
The chairlift from Giw took us to Visperterminen and we drove to Visp with the post bus. From Visp we took the train back to Fiesch, where we started our 4-days hiking tour.
We closed the tour in the allotment garden with Irene & Sepp with a top gardener menu named "Züri Gschnätzlets". Enjoy & Cheers!
