Cross between palaces

One sunny day in March 2011, I decided to take a small trip around the crowded and noisy Wrocław.
With the city bus 403 I easily arrived to Wrocław's suburb Leśnica. This lovely place was 100 years ago a separate small town with the own municipial authorities. It was joined to Wrocław in 1928. Here we can visit renovated baroque palace, which currently acts as a cultural center.

Afterwards following the green-marked route we can go to next palace ("castle on the water") located in Wojnowice. The route leads through the beautifull forest (especially nice in early spring, when we can oberve leaf buds). On our route we cross nearby water tower in Mokre.

In Wojnowice's palace we can have a small break and drink a coffee in local buffet. Palace seems to rise from the water (because of the moat) and is surrounded by a English-style park with lovely alleys and fontains.

Then we continue the green-marked route to reach Miękinia when we can visit the old merchant's hall (currently the city hall).
 After 17km walk we take a train to get back to Wrocław.

The route is especially recommended for nordic walking fans. Enjoy!
