The climb from Les Avants to Col de Jaman follows often small paths in steep woods. This is a rather nice part of the hike (T2+). Unfortunately, col de Jamman was rather crowded and this might be often the case. You are also not alone when you climb Dent de Jaman. Nevertheless, the final climb is steep and you might use a few times your hands (T3-). Afterwards I chose to descend somewhat and climb a small pass, direction Grottes de Naye. The Grottes de Naye are a more exciting alternative to continue climbing in the direction of Rochers de Naye. It is necessary to take a lamp, and in the Grottes fixed ropes etcetera are available to pass the slipery stones (T3, I). When you leave the Grottes de Naye, you are almost on the ridge to Rochers de Naye. The views on lake Geneva are spectacular. It is possible to travel from Rochers de Naye to Montreux by train, as such avoiding the long descend.

Route: Les Avants- Col de Jaman- Dent de Jaman- Jaman- Grottes de Naye- Rochers de Naye.

Wetter: Sonne und Quellwolken. Cumulonimbus mal geschichtet richtung Osten (Berner Oberland) und Norden (Jura).

Alleingang.
