Zinal - Cabane du Mountet CAS - Cabane de Tracuit CAS - Zinal (2 days)

Start: on Sat around 2pm from Zinal (parking at the south end of the village), walked up to Cabane du Mountet CAS in about 4:50h; dinner and overnight stay in the Cabane.
On Sun left around 7:30am, descended almost all way down to Zinal, and then went up to the Roc de la Vache and further up to the Cabane de Tracuit CAS. About 7 hours from Cabane to Cabane, with generous stops. (Plenty of blueberries and redberries detected!)

From Cabane de Tracuit CAS the descent to Zinal goes back almost to the Roc de la Vache and the the path runs in the alpine fields and wood.

There are chains in the coupe of places on the route, but overall nothing complicated, apart from the significant height gains. No special equipment required and no walking on the snow was necessary.

Alternative route from Cabane du Mountet CAS runs over a glacier (no special equipment required either) to Cabane du Petit Mountet and back to Zinal. More infromation on the current conditions is available at the Cabanes.
