Val Niemet - an alpenrose paradise!

Val Niemet is a valley south of Innerferrera, easily accessible on a white-red-white marked trail. Up to Alp Niemet the trail follows the forest road (hiking difficulty T1). After that the difficulty is T2, at least up to Alp Sura. I did not have time to go any further today, but it was a great hike in perfect weather! Currently it is really the alpenrose season in the area around Alp Niemet. A nice breeze from the south made the tour quite comfortable despite the hot weather.

Surprisingly, I only met very few people on this hike. But there were many cows just before Punt da la Muttala though. Luckily not suckler cows, but some of them curiously started following me, and in the end the whole herd came. When I passed on the way back down it was too hot for them, and they were all having a siesta.
