Zufahrt zum Ausgangspunkt:	By car to Tierfehd. By aerial cable car to P.1860 Chalchtrittli.

This hike started at P.1860 Chalchtrittli, following the marked trail up to Muttseehütte (mountain lodge), and then to Kistenpasshütte (another mountain lodge). From there almost straight up to Muttenbergen P.2895 and P.2905. There was perhaps 10 cm of snow, but no ice where I went, so it was possible to hike without crampons. However, the ascent from Kistenpasshütte directly to Muttenbergen peak P.2956 would not have been possible due to icy conditions.

The weather looked promising in the morning, but later on more and more clouds came from the south, and the wind became stronger (Föhn). At Muttenbergen P.2905 the wind almost blew me over, so I decided to turn around there. The main Muttenbergen peak P.2956 will have to wait...

On the way back I made a stop at Muttseehütte, where I was able to get some lunch even if it was a bit late for that. Many thanks for the warm and friendly welcome there!
