New Google ads

Hi all!

As you probably have seen (if you are not a pro-user)  we added some new Google ads: on the region, directory, report, photo and some other pages, with a notable exception of user and community pages.

One comfortable thing with Google ads is that you can put them anywhere on the page (sponsors will not be happy to have their ads hidden in the bottom, Google accepts that), so instead of adding them on the top we put them on the right and on the bottom of the page.  This way, they are not very disturbing but still visible to visitors.

Of course, we don't want to fill Hikr with ads everywhere, but now we have to do some tests and see how those ads perform (actually they are better that we thought, even if it is not enough)  Anyway, there is a high probability that there will be no sponsor ads at all in a couple of months...

As usual, pro-users don't see any ads.
