Hi 360,

I like this shot very much as the proportions are simply astonishing - Monviso is ca. 200km SW in a horizontal line; the 3.8 km vertical raise seem very little compared to the horizontal distance...yet Monviso is so dominant !

Monviso at sunset used to be my point of reference for clear skies many years ago where I grew up on the slopes of Monte San Giorgio (Mendrisiotto).

As usual, thanks for sharing great pics and descriptions.
