Die Züge auf der Gotthardbahn sind stets abwechslungsreich zusammengesetzt. In der Kurve am Bahnhof Faido hat man einen schönen Überblick: Hinter der RE 4/4 II und dem Gepäckwagen rollen der Einheitswagen (EW) IV und der Panoramawagen der 1. Klasse, anschliessend ein für Inlandsbetrieb umgerüsteter EuroCity-Wagen Bpm, sowie 3 international einsetzbare Bpm RIC der 2. Klasse.
